Here is the TikTok CEO's response to the United States ban. He is not exactly telling the whole truth.

To start with, this is not a "ban" on TikTok. They have a choice - sell the company or give in to the ban. ByteDance, the owner of TikTok, stated they will NOT sell to a US entity. What company, that's objective is to make money, wouldn't sell a company for 10's of billions of dollars and rather get banned? If the sole reason is to make money, they would sell it. Maybe it is just posturing, but it seems like there may actually be more to it.
